HE Mr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Jadaan, Minister of Finance, met with HE Prof. Ustin Olsen, Governor of the Norwegian Central Bank, in the presence of Mr. Yangev Slingstad, Chairman of the Norwegian Investment Management Bank, at his office in Riyadh on Monday, 10 Safar 1439H (30 October 2017).
At the beginning of the meeting, HE Mr. Mohammed Al-Jadaan welcomed the Norwegian governor. The two sides discussed the economic relations between the Kingdom and Norway. The Minister of Finance also reviewed with the guest the vision of the Kingdom of 2030 and the procedures that have been adopted by the Kingdom to promote economic growth, create jobs, support small and medium enterprises and increase the contribution of the private sector to GDP.
For his part, the Governor of the Norwegian Central Bank thanked the Kingdom for its hospitality. He goes on to point out that his country is interested in the vision of the Kingdom 2030, stressing that such initiatives contribute to the growth process, for the benefit of the Kingdom and the countries of the region.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Fahd Al-Shathri, Deputy Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency for Research and International Affairs, and Dr. Khalid Al Khudairi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for International Financial Affairs.
