​Riyadh – MAA: 14 government agencies have reviewed their respective experiments in the GIS infrastructure and all the practices they used to utilize IT technologies in this area through databases, programs and applications. The meeting reviewed GIS projects and initiatives completed through adoption of  e-government services.

Chief of Geo-survey Department chairman of the GIS national committee underscored the need to re-arrange the GIS environment, standardization of terminology and presentation.  The above requirements will help decision makers in all government agencies and contribute to successful implementation of all projects.

On behalf of the participating agencies, Yesser Director General  delivered an award to the chief of Geo-survey Department for his effective role in the GIS journey in Saudi Arabia.
