​H.E Saudi Minister of Finance Mr. Mohammed  Al Jadaan attended a G20 symposium  titled “Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) for Innovative, Resilient, Inclusive Growth, and Efficient Governance"  held on February 23, 2023 in Bengaluru, India, on the margin of the first meeting of G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors under India G20 Presidency.

The symposium —attended by several Ministries of Finance, central bank governors from G20 member countries, a number of representatives of invited countries, and heads of international and regional organizations—aimed to explore the ways by which DPI promotes innovation and inclusive growth, builds resilience, and enhances efficiency in governance.

The symposium panelist included; Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman Finance Minister of India, Dr. Sri Mulyani Indrawati Finance Minister of Indonesia, Ms. Kristalina Georgieva MD, International Monetary Fund, Mr. Agustin Carstens General Manager Bank for International Settlements, Mr. Roberto de Oliveira Campos Neto Governor of the Central Bank of Brazil.

The panelists highlighted a number of topics, including the roles and examples of DPI for innovative, resilient, inclusive growth, and efficient governance; the impact of DPI around the world; and leveraging DPI to unlock full growth potential.

Panelists shared their experience and the significant impact of scaling-up DPI on the global economy. They also explored the challenges and opportunities surrounding it, while agreeing on the need to move forward in scaling digital infrastructure to better mobilize its benefits, especially for those most in need.​
