Within the framework of the existing cooperation agreement with the Saudi Ministry of Finance, the World Bank Group (WBG) announced the opening of registration for the "World Bank Group Saudi Fellowship Program" during the period May 20, 2025 through June 9, 2025. The Ministry launched the program in partnership with the WBG to help develop and qualify national competencies by providing applicants with job opportunities at World Bank Group headquarters in Washington DC or one of its regional offices around the world.
The program provides a unique and qualitative professional experience that enables qualified people, who have a passion for working in the field of international development, to engage in WBG projects related to formulating policies and strategies, designing development programs, and contributing to addressing the most prominent global challenges, such as poverty, in cooperation with governments, the private sector, and civil society in developing countries.
The program has succeeded in attracting an elite group of young Saudi candidates during previous editions. This enhances their capacity building in technical fields pivotal to achieving sustainable development and contributes to strengthening the Kingdom's representation in the World Bank Group.
This work is an extension of efforts by the Saudi Ministry of Finance and the Kingdom's Executive Director's office at the World Bank Group to build national competencies in international organizations and enable Saudi nationals to contribute effectively to global development work.
On Thursday, May 22, 2025, a virtual introductory session will be held for those who may be interested so that they can learn about admission requirements and application procedures, in addition to meeting with the WBG recruitment specialists.
