The Ministry of Finance held a number of workshops between23 April and1 May 2018, to introduce the digital Etimad platform to government entities in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. These workshops attended by more than 2,000 government employees representing more than 290 government bodies. emphasized the advantages and characteristics of the platform.
These workshops are part of a series of events organized by the Ministry of Finance, aimed at raising the readiness of government bodies, in addition to taking comments and suggestions to help the continuous development of the platform. This is all part of the Ministry's efforts to achieve Vision 2030, by enabling government bodies to implement their projects and financial transactions with the private sector to the highest standards of efficiency and transparency.
During the workshops, detailed explanations of the platform were presented, with a review of its various services, which provide administrative and procedural links between the Ministry of Finance and the beneficiaries through the platform, including the Budget Department, Procurement and Tenders Department, Contract and Authorization Department, Payment Department and Employees' Financial Rights Department.
The Ministry of Finance launched the digital Etimad platform in mid-January of this year, in cooperation with its strategic partner, Thiqah Business Services, as it represents the accredited digital platform for the provision of government financial services in electronic form to various government bodies and the private sector, which will help deliver the digital transformation of the government system.
