 Ministry of Finance Organized Workshops to discuss 2019 Budget

The Ministry of Finance organized workshops to discuss the 2019 fiscal year budget with the highest spending and revenue government's sectors; as well as various topics related to 2030 Vision programs. The workshops lasted for five days between Sunday 6 May – Thursday 10 May 2018, with the participation of more than 50 government agencies from different sectors and geographical regions in the Kingdom, and the attendance exceeded 1000 employees and budget specialists. 
The workshops discussed the 2019 budget with the government agencies, and 2030 Vision programs with participation of the Ministry of Finance and multiple supporting specialized governmental bodies, such as the Education Evaluation Commission, Saudi Health Council, Spending Rationalization Office, National Center for Privatization and PPP, and Etizan Program – a program concerned with raising efficiency and reducing financial wastage in public expenditure.
The workshops were conducted by the Ministry of Finance's deputyships of Budget and Organization, and Revenues Affairs. They addressed various issues related to employee compensations, operating expenses, capital expenditures, income, and 2030 Vision programs. 
These workshops are a continuation of the annual budget preparation journey, which started at the beginning of the current fiscal year and ends in December, with the announcement of the 2019 state budget.
