The Saudi Ministry of Finance concluded its participation in the third retreat of the Saudi-Emirati Coordination Council, which was hosted by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on October 22-23, 2025.
The Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations (the General Coordinator of the Integrated Committee for Finance and Investment -from the Saudi side) Mr. Khaled Bawazier, reviewed in the session entitled "Presenting the Proposed Initiatives of the Integrated Committee for Finance and Investment," the most prominent outputs of the work of the Committee. He discussed the importance of the outputs of a number of initiatives for the two countries, stressing that the most important objectives of holding the annual conference of banks under the supervision of the supervisory authorities are to enhance cooperation between Saudi and Emirati banks, highlight the challenges and opportunities facing the banking sector and ways to address them, as well as exchange experiences between both sides.
He further emphasized that promoting mutual investment is essential for bolstering economic and developmental ties. He Highlighted that such investment drives growth in vital sectors, facilitates the transfer of knowledge, and creates sustainable job opportunities. Ultimately, this collaboration strengthens mutual trust and forms the foundation for long-term strategic partnerships rooted in shared interests and economic integration.
Deputy Minister Bawazier also noted the importance of enhancing joint customs cooperation, which is one of the most important pillars of enhancing trade exchange, and supporting the comprehensive development process between the two brotherly countries.
