Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations

Mr. Khaled Abu Bakr Bawazier


Mr. Khaled Bawazier is the Saudi Deputy Minister of Finance for International Relations. He oversees representing and enhancing MOF presence and influence in various regional and international events related to the Ministry's work, facilitating and supporting effective recommendations that promote MoF position, managing files of regional and international multilateral organizations, as well as managing bilateral international relations between all countries, in addition to managing and following up the disbursement of international donations and aids provided by the Kingdom.

 

Mr. Bawazier has extensive experience in the financial sector for more than 20 years, during which he held several positions in the World Bank Group as a member of the Audit and Scrutiny Committee and in the Governance and Administrative Matters Committee of the Bank's Executive Board, as well as a Board Member and Executive Director of the Saudi Office, he also served as Senior Adviser at the G20 under the Saudi presidency. In addition to assuming several positions at Aramco, most notably chairing the Accounting Policy Division and membership in the Aramco-Google Cloud Partnership Board.

 
Mr. Bawazier holds a Master's degree in International Accounting and Finance from Birmingham University in the UK and a Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration from the same university, and a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd Petroleum and Minerals University.
