The Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf held a meeting with the US Minister of the Treasury Jacob Lew, who is currently visiting the Kingdom to participate in the first meeting of the Joint Committee with the ministers of finance and economy of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), in Riyadh, on Thursday, 01/26/1438 AH.

During the meeting, they reviewed the global economic situation and the major economies, particularly, in the region countries.

They also discussed the technical aspects of cooperation between the two countries and developments related to the global, domestic financial and monetary markets.

The meeting was attended by HE Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khulaifi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance for International Financial Affairs, Dr. Sulaiman Al-Turki and General Director of Marc-Fiscal Policy Unit, Dr. Saad Al-Shahrani.
