Ministry of Finance has launched a financial claims service for suppliers and contractors, that aims at collecting all financial claims and reviewing them with government bodies to make easy the payment process. This service requires that all government financial claims to be registered by all suppliers and contractors before The date of 27 Safar 1439 H corresponding to 16 November 2017, while continuing with the same procedures that are followed by government bodies as already in place.
In light of this, His Excellency Mr. Hindi Al-Suhaimi, Assistant Minister of Ministry of Finance for Technical Financial Affairs, explained that the Ministry seeks to know about all the financial claims on government bodies of programs and projects that have been completed. Thus, to make it easy to review and disburse such claims. Mr. Al-Suhaimi stresses that if contractors and suppliers did not register their claims via this service during the specified time period, this may affect the speed of payment of the claim.
For his part, Mr. Ahmed Al-Suwayan, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Technology and Development, explained that the suppliers and contractors can easily submit their financial claims through Ministry's website by choosing the financial claims service, the registration of financial claim, then to submit the application. The Ministry will then review the request, respond to it or approve it. Nonetheless, there is no need for anyone to come personally to the Ministry to follow his claim.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry has set up a contact center for the purpose of assisting suppliers and contractors in the event of any queries by calling 920002299 or visiting the Maras Center, which is open all weekdays until 11:00 pm, for the purpose of helping the beneficiaries, providing the needed services and speeding up procedures.
