His Excellency the Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Economy and Planning Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan participates in the 2021 Spring Meetings of World Bank Group (WBG) Development Committee and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) International Monetary and Financial Committee, which will be held virtually on Thursday and Friday, 8-9 April 2021.

 

The IMF and WBG organize the Spring Meetings annually and host finance ministers and central bank governors to discuss global economic issues, including the world economic outlook, global financial stability, as well as challenges pertaining to poverty and public debt risks. It is worth mentioning that Saudi Arabia is among the countries that are represented with an independent chair at the executive board of both institutions.

 

Mr. Aljadaan also will participate in the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors' Meeting on April 7, 2021, on the margins of the IMF and WB Spring Meetings.
