He added that engaging effectively in the global trading system, improving competitiveness and strengthening governance are essential steps for any nation seeking to prosper.
As part of Saudi House initiative's pavilion, Minister Aljadaan participated in two sessions. During the first session entitled "New Approaches to Measuring Growth Beyond GDP", Minister Aljadaan said that measuring economic growth should not be limited to GDP alone, and there are additional indicators needed to ensure that growth is inclusive, strong, and sustainable. During the second Saudi House session entitled "Making It Matter: Driving Action through International Forums", Minister Aljadaan stressed that stability is the key to any economic reform, adding that Saudi Arabia has worked to de-escalate geopolitical tensions in the region in recent years and will continue to do so.
During the WEF25 session entitled "Emerging Economies amid Shocks", Minister Aljadaan highlighted that announcing reforms is just the beginning, and that success lies in committed execution and ongoing adjustments. He also stressed that Saudi Vision 2030 reforms have contributed to enhancing the Saudi economy's resilience.
In the session entitled "Long View on MENA's Growth", Minister Aljadaan said that the MENA region has the world's most affordable energy, rich mineral wealth, and a youthful workforce, giving it the potential to become a globally significant area.
Minister Aljadaan also noted during the session entitled "Economic Diversification and Its Impact on Sustainability: The GCC's Role in Global Economic Growth", that it is important to recognize that GCC countries share common opportunities and challenges, so collaboration is key on both the regional and global levels.
At the conclusion of WEF25, Minister Aljadaan highlighted in the session entitled "Saudi Arabia's Economic Shifts" that the recipe for the success of any nation around the world is long-term planning, making tough decisions, and being very committed to the plan's execution.
On the sidelines of WEF25, Minister Aljadaan conducted a number of bilateral meetings with a number of finance ministers, policymakers, leaders of international organizations, as well as officials from international financial institutions to discuss ways to enhance cooperation to achieve prosperity of the global economy.
