Under the patronage of His Excellency the Saudi Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Financial Sector Development Program Committee, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, the third edition of the Saudi Capital Market Forum 2024 (SCMF) commenced today under the theme "Powering Growth." The event, organized by Saudi Tadawul Group, is being held February 19-20, 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Minister Aljadaan participated today in the first fireside chat discussing “The Greatest Success Story of the 21st Century", where he emphasized that Saudi Arabia is keen to engage in global multilateral forums such as the G20, International Monetary Fund, the World Bank to foster more collaboration and cooperation and to strengthen the global economy.
Minister Aljadaan said that for countries to be more resilient and deal with economic shocks, they need to implement reforms and transform by enabling the private sector and young talents.
Speaking to investors, he noted that Saudi Arabia has: clear government alignment with the private sector, investors, and other stakeholders; a robust economy that has thrived despite multiple economic shocks; and strong credit ratings of A+ with an outlook that is either stable or positive.
This edition of SCMF brings together the world's leading financial minds and decision-makers, catalyzing dialogue and collaboration to promote the financial markets sector. It will focus on key priorities such as market evolution, investment strategies, and regulatory developments, reflecting the Kingdom's commitment to economic diversification and its strategic role in shaping the future of finance.
