Mr. Thamer Saleh Ibrahim Aljared is the Deputy Minister for Macro-Fiscal Policy since December 2020. Prior to that, Mr. Thamer has been working as the Advisor to The Minister of Finance since February 2019, during which he was entrusted with many tasks directly related to the Minister, and other works related to the boards of directors and committees in which the Minister participated as a chairman or as a member. During that period, Mr. Thamer was working as an economic advisor in the Macro-Financial Policies Unit before it was transformed into a Deputyship; he contributed to establishing the Unit in the middle of 2016, when he worked on several files related to fiscal policy, as well as the issues related to macroeconomics.   Before joining the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Thamer had worked at the Saudi Fund for Development since 2006, he started his employment there as an economic researcher in the economic research & studies department. He was assigned as the director of the statistics unit which he established. Mr. Thamer holds a master's degree in economics from Central Michigan University in the USA and bachelor's degree from King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University in Riyadh, in the specialization of Economics
